Future recordings on DVR

Hi, can DVR ‘s only bexset up from the grid? I just switched from x-finitely, and you could search by the show’s title, and set to record right from there. It was great for series recordings. I found I could search and find a program, but can’t link to record it. Any ideas? Thanks so much! Dave

Once you search and find an episode via search, select more info.
Then you will have the option to record episode or series.

But it is still related to guide data. So you can't record something that doesn't appear in the next two weeks.
