We renewed/upgraded our account on October 18 and the representative I spoke to said we were eligible for the $200 Google promotion. We received an email after we set up the new/upgraded account that explicity stated we were eligible. Then we noticed that they'd not canceled HBO -- which we had asked them to do, we called and they removed HBO and sent us another email which I didn't read carefully, but it did not have the promotion listed.
Just got off a chat with a rep and was told that we were not eligible, even though I told them about the first email. They ended the chat without answering that question. HBO was not part of the promotion -- just the base service.
I agree with all other customers who had this issue -- it is a scam/bait and switch.
I am pretty upset about this -- especially since we are now locked into two more years.
