Can't authenticate NFL AppleTV App!

I subscribe to the nfl cannel in the sports addon package and it works fine on tv and fios app. When i try to activate the appletv nfl app, i put in the code and it goes to verizon where i log in to Verizon then it tells me i need to subscribe to a package with nfl channel. What gives?

Perhaps someone here with apple TV could comment, But I suspect you need to go to Apple Support or its forums.
