Fios on demand resuming a show

I am having trouble with watching a show on demand when I can't finish the whole show in one sitting. Is there a way to stop a show and pick up where you left off the next day? Currently it makes me start back at the beginning of the show without the ability to fast forward.

It is a problem that has been around for a few years.

There is a software release currently rolling out that may fix it.
