I used to have DSL , speed was in the range of 1.5mbps-3mpbs.
For four months, the internet were working perfectly fine, until 2 weeks ago.
My internet been constantly losing connection, up to like 50 times a day.
I called for help and Verizon sent a technician over and the technician said that the speed was too fast or whatever, which is the cause of me losing connections constantly.
so he told me to call and lower my speed to the next level, which is around 0.9mbps-1.5mbps..
Its been like 6hours since I lowered my internet connection, the speed might be the cause of me losing connection constantly. But this speed is too slow for me.. My brother often uses a application that slows the network down. With the old speed, i seem to work okay even when he is runnining the app, but now, the speed goes down as low as 0.10mbps when he is running the app..The average speed for me now is around 1.3mbps..
My friend who has Comcast told me her average speed is 17.8mbps...
I thought of canceling my internet, but I signed 1 year contract with Verizon, which still has around 8 months remaining.
Is there any ways for me to bring my internet back up to 1.5-3mbps without losing connection all the time? It had been working for 4 months.. how come it suddenly dosent work anymore??
