blacklisting isp address

I sent 2 separate emails earlier this eveing to 2 different email addresses (cousins in Italy) at nnnnn.nnnnn@alice.it and they both bounced back with messages about a blacklisted isp address. I am using my own laptop, at home, using the Verizon webmail, with my household Verizon DSL line. What's up with this? How do I get this corrected?
