High speed internet availability in King George, VA

I live {edited for privacy} in King George, VA and the only internet I have available to me is Satellite. When will Verizon be available because I can't stand this satellite internet, I can't play online games because it is too slow and would put me over my monthly usage allotment. You guys provide phone and direct Tv service when will you provide at the very least DSL?

That looks to be a pretty rural area. While you might get lucky and see DSL, you would have to be close to a remote terminal or the Central office for your town. Most rural areas usually get DSL in the center of town, and from there it all depends on how good the copper is from the source, to your home. The truth to the matter is, Verizon never reveals where they're doing a build-out, unless your area has a regional page where they might announce things such as DSL or FiOS after they've been rolled out. It doesn't hurt to send a letter to Verizon's HQ, perhaps a petition with many in your area having signed it as well, asking for DSL.

Have you considered looking around for a regional Wireless ISP for the time being? If Cable Internet is not available, a WISP often proves to be a good alternative to satellite or Cellular carriers. Most don't limit data, and many supply decent quality of service and speeds for running games on. They're not the easiest to find since they are smaller companies, but if one can get a signal to you, go for it.
