I am at the point where i cant watch a stream video without it stopping every 5-10 sec and sometimes the connection just drops at random times and i am force to restart the moderm everytime to fix it.
Can you provide the modem's Transceiver Statistics and the modem's System Logs? If you don't know how to get these pieces of information, tell us what modem you are using, along with any routers.
its a Verizon DSL Wirless Modem/Router Westell 7500

The Voice service is working fine with no problme and it seems i cant cant gain acess to the NID, What should i do?
If you are unable to access the NID, you can start by checking over your home's wiring. Make sure every device that uses the phone (including alarm systems) are filtered, and that the jacks are free of corrosion. Making sure the wiring is tight behind the jack and is not corroded will also help.
If you can't solve the problem ask Verizon to send a tech out to repair the line.
Update: just made a phone call and notice i do indeed have static noises when i call someone
I apologize for being yet another to chime in on the thread, but I have recently (last 4-6 months) been experiencing just unacceptable DSL speeds. I don't have the top line service, but I am supposed to get 1.5 - 3.0 Mbps downstream. I ran the broadband test just to see what my ballpark downstream rate is. It showed as .131 Mbps. Upstream was actually faster at .76 Mbps. I have filters on all the phone lines (other than the DSL, obviously), but I suspect the culprit is my cable modem. Unlike most of the folks I've seen posting, my Westell modem is a WireSpeed 2200 (Model: b90-210015-04).
At first, I thought it was my not-quite-as-old Apple Airport Extreme. I replaced that with a brand spanking new one, but to no effect.
I have been a DSL customer of Verizon's for years, which explains the age of the hardware. Even though I upgraded my service a while ago, new hardware was not offered to me. Any next steps to recommend?
Thanks.

Please answer as many questions as you can.
#1 What is your OS and Verision? For example Windows XP Home SP3.
#2 Do you have a switch or hub that is not part of a router?
#3 Do you have a computer with two NICs?
#4 Do you know how to setup a Static IP?
For example if I gave to you, these settings:
IP: 192.168.1.5
Subnet: 255.255.555.0
Do you know how to make your OS and Version of your computer, use those settings?
Update: Another tech came out here and there was indeed a problem with the line ( The wire was somehow broken) and he fixed and there is no static on the phones no more BUT i am still expereince slow speed on both my computers and xbox360? seriously what am i missing?
Btw i also have the verzion westell 7500 router in bridge mode which is connected to a WRT54GS2 Linksys router if that helps for more info needed.
WRT54GS2
MacOS 10.6.7, two machines. Also iPhone 4.3 (over Wifi)
Airport Extreme (as noted earlier). Latest model (http://www.apple.com/airportextreme/
My Mac laptops have Wifi and Ethernet, if that's what you mean. Otherwise...no, I think.
Yes.
Thanks for responding.
@Daymarr: Re-provide your modem Transceiver Statistics now that the line is repaired. Just need to see how they look compared to your previous posting of them. Additionally, go to http://www.giganews.com/line_info.html and post up the completed trace route from their US Server. If the final hop (bottom-most like) doesn't give stars but instead shows an IP address as well as a name, erase that line so that you don't go posting your IP up. What I'm looking for in the trace is something that mentions an ERX as it's name.
If you can, post up a link to a speed test. That will further help us out with the slow speed issue.

Verizon DSL 3360 Kbps / 864 Kbps user on Westell A90-750015-07 running VER:5.01.00.02/A2pB020b3.d20h.
I am getting awfully slow speeds both directions and the router will reboot and/or reset wireless several times a day, both under heavy throughput loads and under light loads.
Lately it has been rebooting and causing the gateway to go offline until I reboot the unit via the web ui as well.
Any tips, is my box, my inside wires or an issue for Verizon to resolve. Let me know what all you need to help me run this down. Below is actually a pretty good test result, normally it can be half that. 😞
Speed Test Results
Transceiver Information
Down Stream Path Up Stream Path
Margin (dB) 22.3 10.0
Line Attenuation (dB) 31.0 14.5
Transmit Power (dBm) 7.8 11.9
Sure would love to get these speeds up consistently and keep the router from dropping offline all the time. Right now Sprint EVDO and ATT 3G are faster for me. 😞
Any assistance would be welcome.

#1 Did you try connecting the modem to the NID?
If not, try that so that we can know if the issue is OR is not about your inside phone lines.
#2 If you don't know what a NID is, look at

No, but I will tomorrow. Which of the
should I see a change in if it is indeed my inside wiring? Are any of those values unacceptable or on the low normal ranges?
Right now your statistics look to be just fine. If there is in fact a problem with the inside wiring, the key things to watch are the pieces of information you highlighted below. Making sure the speed remains at 3360/864kbps, a decent change in quality will be indicated by lower attenuation values (3+dB lower), higher margin values, and lower transmit powers (usually a difference greater than 2dBm).
