B&N NOOK issues

I have been given a new Barnes & Noble NOOK. Will work properly in B&N stores & at my neighbor's but will not download complete books in my home. Will download book previews and will send orders to B&N. My laptop and kids' laptops work fine using the dsl wifi for normal web-browsing, email, etc. We have a Westfall Model327W modem. Any ideas?

I've got two possible ideas it could be with. Could be an issue with with the 327w firmware/wireless settings, or it could be an issue with the Westell's firewall, if it is enabled. Visit http://192.168.1.1/ . Do you see the Verizon Red and Black firmware or is it Westell-branded White firmware?

Logged onto the Westell site as you recommended. Can find nothing about firmware. Where should I be looking and what for? As near as I can tell the Westfell firewall is inactivated. Thank you for your respose.
