help with spam filter

A number of my incoming emails from various senders get the tag [SPAM] inserted in the subject line. Is this something that the Verizon spam filter does? I've looked at the spam filter instructions and could find no explanation of how to add a list of non-spam senders (i.e. a whitelist) to prevent this. Please help!

I haven't seen this happen, but that doesn't mean it isn't possible. Are you using webmail or a client to check your email? Do you have any security software set up to scan your email?
