How long does it take Verizon to respond to whitelisting? I've used the whitelisting web form over a 2 week period and have yet to receive a response. Does Verizon also mark this as spam internally? Are they really this incompetent and blocking SMTP servers that are clearly not spam? Do they have one person in Malaysia working the issue?

PS: Thank you for sending the SPAM Verizon Welcome Kit when I specifically stated do not send me email when registering for this account to post.

@EricVis and @vzterrible don't expect responses from the form. It's my understanding and experience now that they do not respond to it.

Additionally the only two ways I've found to talk to anyone about this are here on this forum, which failed and I was still denied whitelist after proving my IP was clean. And Twitter, where after posting a screenshot of my private messages with the Support here, they brilliantly suggestsed I use the Whitelist form as some canned response.

I've yet to be given any human contact to resolve this issue and furthermore haven't received any valid details as to why we are not whitelisted despite being a clean IP.

I was given a generic response that "other IPs in our range are affected" with acknowledgement that mine was not one of them. Naturally, they didn't tell me what IPs. So I have no information for my upstream and the upstream naturally can't find a way to get a hold of anyone either.

It's a broken and incredibly flawed system from a company of the same values.

Simply put they are inconsiderate id!ots.

@verizon_support probably because your "support" is being done in a forum and not a ticket or representative system. They likely have no idea you're even trying to help them because this who system is ridiculous.

I am having the same problem as the others. I registered an account for the forum and then followed your instructions to click my name and look for the middle column headed by "My Private Support Cases." I can't see any middle column that shows that. My middle column is blank.

I am having the same issues here as well. Since all attempts at reaching abuse@verizion.net and whitelisting lead nowhere, and they kept sending the same reply over and over. So I found this forum thread, and did register the account and then tried to find that middle column to submit this to get this case resolved. Apparently, that is non-existant as well, so I want to know what other ways to get in touch with Verizon to get this resolved.

Considering their system is broken and they don't seems to be aware of this or just do not care at this point.

I have went to the whitelist form at http://my.verizon.com/micro/whitelist/RequestForm.aspx?id=isp and gave the details of our server IP which is at {edited for privacy} for micfo.com. The problem is that they always reports back saying it is blocked due to spam issues or it is dynamically IP.

Thing is, there is no history of spamming for it, and all RBLs lists do not have our IP listed, and at senderbase.org, it is listed as Good Reputation. So at this moment, we could not even send emails to our customers at Verizon due to this blcokage from Verizon just because of supposely spam issues where there isn't any in the first place.

We own the IPs and it have clean history.

My company, winenabber.com, has been sending opt-in email offers to a few thousand subcribers for over a year. Since May of 2013, mail to our subscribers who use verizon.net is being blocked by verizon's spam filter. "571 Email from 69.64.xx.xxx is currently blocked by Verizon Online's anti-spam system." I have completed your whitelist form on May 31 and then again six weeks later. I have never seen a reply from Verison and our IP Address is "clean" on all blacklit/whitelist services. I have made a complaint to our Better Business Bureau and you have not responded to them either. What do you sugget?

I wonder how long it will take this garbage company to realize this isn't how you provide customer support.

Also, how their system is bastardizing perfectly good servers and making their admins look like fools for no reason.

My organization, a community band, has the same problem with getting messages to both members and supporters. Numerous requests went to Verizon over the last couple of years with no results. Recently, I took over this e-mail monitoring and tried having a customer send a request through the whitelist page. The customer got a response telling her that they attempted to contact us. It did not happen. I came across this Forum Topic and am hoping it canlead to a resolution. We'll see since this seems hit and miss, too.

I work for a company that is trying to send emails from a server we manage. We also do not send spam, but are managing mailing lists for people who have explicitly signed up to receive emails from us. Verizon is blocking one of our server IPs from sending emails to Verizon's servers, and a large number of our mailing list members cannot receive emails from us because the IP address is being blocked by Verizon.

I do not see a ""My Support Cases" on my profile page. In fact the column is entirely empty. Does this only show up after someone at Verizon enters a support case for my forum profile's ID?

I would very much appreciate your help on this.

I second this. I have run my mail server for over a decade and have hosted hundreds of domains and thousands of users. Somehow I have ended up on the blacklist with no information whatosever of what user or circustnaces caused this. I have monitored the server and see nothing out of the ordinary and have propert SPF records, PTRs, and not blacklisted or have any issues accroding to mxtoolbox and a few other companies like senderscore.org

I have now applied twice to the whitelist and have been rejected without any useful information. There is no place to put a comment or get help from a human being.

Anyone have any additional ideas?

I have seen several on this post who were escalated to a Verizon person. PLEASE, I am requesting the same, to try and resolve this. I run a well known company who deals in Public Safety and Verizon has recently blocked our server/email. I see no reason whatsoever and we are whitelisted on almost every major domain.

I have tried numerous times to use the Whitelist form mentioned. I get an automated response with generic instructions, all of which are already resolved. Please tell me who to contact or what to do to remove this block from your system. I have tens of thousands of Verizon customers who rely on us everyday! I may need to post a message on the login page (since I can not email them) to switch to another service if they are a VeriZon cutomers.

I need to reopen my request. We have been removed from the other blacklists.

I like that they marked his issue "resolved" which meant telling him to do more stuff while still not removing him from the list.

I think maybe one person of the 12 of us that posted on here actually got whitelisted.

We just changed our SMTP IP. Support didn't help us at all. Told us we couldn't be whitelisted because of other IPs "near" ours.

I need help white listing a couple IPs

One is a legitimate business website - verified to not be compromised or sending spam - and the other is a web forum that had misconfigured their postfix server to allow backscatter (resolved)

How do I open a support case for these? Both are quickly rejected by the white listing form.

While I can't offer a solution, I might be able to clarify. I believe "this form" is referring to the original whitelist form that you already filled out. (Meaning once you have resolved the spam/IP issues, fill it out again.) Verizon should probably clarify the wording a bit there...

Thanks Jose and the Verizon team for your help, the 2nd client I noted was able to successfully white list the IP on their own.

I do have a new client as of Nov 27th that is being rejected no matter what we change the sending IP to, I've tried three seperate /24's. All three IPs allocated show no usage for the past 30 days and we've never received a spam complaint against the individual IPs in the past 5 years that I can search.

Would it be possible to help us out? This client is not a bulk sender

I am also having the same problems. Emails rejected by Verizon since ~August 21, 2013. I've filled out the whitelist form 5+ times myself and have had many customers do the same with the customer version. No response, no progress, and no way to request additional assistance.

Provided informaion to Verizon_Support and was asked to make this post to assist in tracking. I can provide additional details to support as needed, but would prefer not to post specifics in an open forum.

Why is the solution to all these requests on IP's getting blocked hidden away...why is it that a company I was receving emails from on Friday, 1/17 are suddenly getting blocked on Monday 1/20...just post the solution for god's sake and help everyone solve it...The company who is unable to send me emails thinks it's my fault when apparently this whole issue revolves around Verizon suspecting certain domains as a spammers.

The solutions are not hidden. But in cases that were escalated to agents, the solution may involve personal account information that cannot be posted to the boards. You are more than welcome to ask those users how their issue was resolved.

I work for a regional ISP in the mid-atlantic region, we have been attempting to address the blacklist/whitelist issues that many before me have reported. All attempts to contact your secrity team directly appear to be ignored. We have requested delist many times now and we are told that our IP's are dynamically assigned, which is not the case (we are an ISP and statically assign all address space). Can I please be contacted with an agent? I can provide specific IP's and IP ranges that appear to have been blocked since sometime late last week.

I have called and I have talked to 5 different people to try to get this resolved and NOTHING. Tech support says "We can't assist you because you are not a Verizon customer." THAT IS STUPID! She eve saif to me you should contact Geeksquad or something...really? for something VERIZON is doing? That's the kind of people that are in tech support.

I figured I might as well Google the bounceback message to see if I am alone, and apparently this is a fairly rampant issue. The worst part of this is the fact that there is no way to clear it without Verizon intervention. The only way to begin a ticket on this is to call a level 1 FiOS tech, who wanted to check MY email settings to fix an obvious Spam block on VERIZON's server.

I am attempting to work ticket # {edited for privacy}, which SHOULD have been started last FRIDAY when we first brought the issue to Verizon's attention. After 4 wasted hours on the phone with support, can I simply get this IP address whitelisted. Our RBL check came back spotless, and we send thousands of emails a day, luckily not all to Verizon. We may send dozens of emails a week to a Verizon.net address as many employees at our company (of which I am one) have some form of Verizon at their home.

This has almost been a week, for an issue that should be fixed in seconds when done by the correct person, of which I believe I have yet to find. Some people appear to have had success through this site, so I am hoping that I will achive the same success by posting here.

The outgoing IP address for a server I administer is also being blocked by Verizon's incoming mail server. I've checked and double-checked for any evidence of outgoing spam, including detailed checks on messages that were sent to Verizon addresses. I'm absolutely convinced that there is no spam leaving the server.

I've completed the whitelist form a few times, and heard nothing back. I actually suspect that there is an IP address in the same subnet as mine, but assigned to a different server, and the whole subnet has been blocked. I can't confirm that, as I get no feedback when I complete the whitelist form. But if that is the case, I'd like to apply to have my single IP address whitelisted, so that I'm not penalised for my neighbour's bad behaviour.

Please can a member of Verizon staff reach out to me, so that I can give you the information you need to help me with this. I'm hoping that we can either get the IP whitelisted, or that you'll be able to give me some concrete evidence of spam from my exact IP so that I can solve the issue or deal with the end-user responsible.

The reply to my form submission tells me that my domain is not blocked, however when I try to re-send the e-mails they are being bounced back again with same message. Please contact me immediately.

Thank goodness I found your post. I have been tearing my hair out all day because I can no longer email a long time contact who has a Verizon email account, even though I have been emailing him regularly for the past several weeks. Nothing on my end has changed, so it has to be Verizon! My business email which I have had for over 11 years is being rejected by Verizon as spam. I don't spam, my host doesn't spam, and I just need to get my work done!@??! The notification I received is below:

Hello, I'm also having the same problem with my whitelist request for my dedicated server being rejected even though the server has never sent any spam.

Running a check against the Multi-RBL lists at http://www.anti-abuse.org shows that the server is not blacklisted on any known RBLs.

I would be very grateful if somebody could assist me with having my server whitelisted.

I am a small hosting provider based in Canada with servers at SoftLayer in Texas and Washinton DC. One of our IPs is blacklisted and despite having a totally clean reputation I just get the same standard message from the whitelist form.

I have filled out the whitelist form several times and all I received is the email that says:

After investigation, Verizon Online Security has determined that e-mail from your IP address will not be allowed access to the Verizon Online e-mail domain due to one or more of the following reasons:

Your IP has been blocked because of spam issues or because your ISP indicates that it is dynamically assigned

Once you have addressed any security-related issues on your network, you should contact Verizon Online Security via this form. At that time, we will work with you to restore normal e-mail traffic or to take other action as we deem appropriate.

I am a residential customer, and have had my email forwarded from a web-based email service to my Verizon email for the several years that we have had Verizon, and had no problems until early May 2014, when some of the forwarded mail started getting bounced back.. The notice said that the IP was on the anti-spam list, and to fill out the form at Verizon White LIst.

Well, I've done it twice, and neither I nor the email service have been contacted by Verizon, even though the automated replay said that Verizon would contact us.

The IP address cited in the notice is NOT the IP address of the email service, and I cannot figure out why Verizon would think so, as the cited IP does not appear in any of the headers. Could someone PLEASE take a look at this and unblock my email? It's not the end of the world, but jeez, it's a pain in the neck.

Anyone who can help. let me know what other information you need to solve this mess. Thank you.

Yet another business being blocked for no good reason. Today was the first time I've gotten a response from the whitelist form after three or more attempts saying the same as everyone else:

Your IP has been blocked because of spam issues or because your ISP indicates that it is dynamically assigned

 No Reverse Hostname associated with your IP address

This is, of course, all not true. It's a dedicated server with 7 IP addresses that are STATICALLY assigned with proper reverse DNS entries on all of them, with correct SPF and DKIM records. I run a tight ship closely monitoring all incoming and outgoing e-mail delivery.

Only two accounts have sent a whopping 12 e-mails to verizon.net accounts over the past MONTH, 8 which are subscribed to a monthly newsletter with automatic bounce handling, and 4 containing account/receipt related information for OUR/YOUR customers. All were bounced.

Oh, and BTW, I'M also a Verizon Wireless customer (for the moment)! Please open the private support pronto.

I am also having this same issue. I have run a mail server for years with no problems. I just migrated my mail services to a new ISP and, since minute 1, I have received the following:

"Email from xx.xx.xx.xx is currently blocked by Verizon Online's anti-spam system. The email sender or Email Service Provider may visit http://www.verizon.net/whitelist and request removal of the block. 140722"

Filling out the form did nothing for me. I received an email within the hour that said:

"Your IP has been blocked because of spam issues or because your ISP indicates that it is dynamically assigned

No Reverse Hostname associated with your IP address."

I do have reverse DNS in place and am on no blacklists anywhere. The whitelist form is useless because it gives us email providers no way to rebut.

Please help...

I am having the exact same problem. When my customers have ordered something and I am sending an email of the order, etc they are bouncing exactly as the other users have said. I've also gone through the exact same steps and are no further along.

My company has been established 15 years. We don't spam, we use Microsofts office 365 for email delivery. They say I am on no blacklist.

Note: None of your whitelist form links are working at this time. Every one of them returns an IIS error. You should repotr that to whomever should receive those reports.

We are, like others before us, having issues getting IPs whitelisted. In this particular case taking up our time right now, it is for a server used to replace an older, established server, and this block may be due to the sudden appearance of the usual load of mail from an IP that has not been seen before. However, there is no spam originating from it, it does have rDNS, and we would like to get it delisted so clients can once again send whatever mail they have for Verizon users to verizon and have it go through. Please let us know what steps to take given that all your forms for the more or less automated process are nonworking.

Yes, multiple times. Both from the affected domain and from my personal Verizon account. We have verified the server is no longer forwarding spam from an old email account. There are approximately 7 legitimate emails in the Exchange server queue waiting to go to an @verizon.net email address.

Reverse is set up correctly, SPF set up, and Domain Keys. No the ip address is not dynamically assigned. The bounce message is really too generic. Could be spam, could be a dynamically assigned ip, or maybe a security issue.... which is it?
Does anyone know if Verizon has an RBL server that can be queried with rblcheck or anything of the sorts?

I'm having the same issue as others in this forum.

An employee's laptop was infected with malware which resulted in spam being sent from 2 websites which I operate. The issue was addressed promptly: all mail passwords were changed, and the infected laptop was permanently removed from our network.

Despite operating a clean network and addressing all issues, I still can't send valid emails to customers with verizon accounts. Attempting to whitelist our IP addresses has resulted in the same notice as others:

We are experiencing email delivery issues when trying to establish contact with our cleints, who use Verizon's email service.

Bounce error:

- SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection: 550-Email from XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is currently blocked by Verizon Online's 550-anti-spam system.

Upon whitelisting IP via web form, we've received a following reply:

- Your IP has been blocked because of spam issues or because your ISP indicates that it is dynamically assigned

- No Reverse Hostname associated with your IP address.

IP is 100% clean, not listed on any blacklist, and is being used only for transactional emails.

Server's RDNS is properly set, along with correct SPF and DKIM records.
