MSN Mail with Powerpoint

In order to open .ppt files in MSN Mail we installed Powerpoint Viewer 2007.

When we click on a .ppt attachment it gives error message that the Viewer works only with XP, Vista, Windows 2000 etc. We are using XP. If you try to open a .ppt file outside of MSN Mail it works perfectly. How can we fix the MSN Mail to work with the viewer?

If your virus/malware scanner can not scan the file while you try to open attachmeant in MSN Mail, just save the file to the hard drive first.

Otherwise, you are putting your self at risk.

Viruses and Malware do not appear to be not related to this problem.

Unless I am mistaken, you got bigger problems then "I can not open a PPT file in MSN mail."

Free MSN service is being disconnected as noted at http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Email/MSN-verizon/m-p/176388

The service is not being discontinued in my area which was not in the notification list, at least for now. I would still like to resolve this issue to be sure I do not have any underlying larger problem.

I used Google, and I can see where I can download Powerpoint Viewer 2007.

But, I am having a hard time finding MSN mail.

If you tell me where I can find it, I can download it and play with it (to see what I can find out).
