Hi
I'm having a problem with my internet speed. I switched from Comcast to Verizon about six months ago, and got HSI Enhanced. It was fine for the first few months, but two months ago I moved into a new apartment, and that's when the trouble started. Its usually okay during the day. Its not as fast as it was at my old apartment, but its usable. However, in the evening, it slows down so much that its essentially unusable. It starts at about 8:00, and lasts till about 8:00 the next morning. I tried to download the In Home Agent last night, and got a download speed of 4kb per second. As you can imagine, this is really frustrating, since I'm only able to use the internet for half of the day.
I've tried resetting the router when its slow, and I've tried changing wireless channels. I've also tried changing over to a wired connection, but nothing helps. To be honest, I'm just about at the end of my rope. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I hope you can help, because I'm seriously considering switching if this doesn't get resolved.
Does anyone have any ideas?
*Edit* I'm in Pennsylvania, about an hour and a half northeast of Pittsburgh. I also have my wifi password protected, and I don't have any phones plugged into any additional jacks. I've tried putting my laptop right beside the router, and it doesn't help, so I can't imagine it's an interference issue.
