I don’t have Ethernet can I run a line from the Ont to the g3100

Yes, you can run an Ethernet cable between the ONT and router. Then contact Verizon to have the Internet service switched...especially if you plan on upgrading to higher speeds. 🙂

If Internet is not being subscribed to, the Ethernet port would be turned off. A cable can be run between the ONT and the router, but it wouldn't do anything.
