I keep having “flapping link” problems ever since I installed Fios 1 GiG Internet Service (about 2 weeks now since I signed up).
Since I work from home as a Network Engineer for a 5G company, these Vz problems have severely impacted my work.
A lot of my work involves setting up secure tunnels to remote labs & data centers. On a regular but non-deterministic basis, the tunnels drop and I can no longer do my work. This happens when the WAN links go down/up.
So this is a problem where the WAN link on the WiFi router bounces on a regular, non-deterministic basis and all the Vz support staff can do is recommend that I reboot the router, or, they run stupid continuity tests, which of course will pass for this type of problem.
In the mean time, I am now out of business, unable to do my work because a flap of the WAN link will most certainly occur within 10-20 minutes.
