Hi,
For the past several weeks (after a couple of months of no trouble), the connection to the internet through the DSL has been weird. When it's working, the speed is as good as it ever was. But the connection gets lost, it will work for a few hours at a time and then go out. There are two ways I've been able to "fix" it: one is to open Network Diagnostics (I am running MacOS 10.6.8 on one computer and 10.7.5 on another), and once I do that often the internet will come back online within a few seconds (the lights for Internet and Server are usually yellow when I first open up the Diagnostics). When that doesn't work, if I turn the modem off and back on, that always works.
But it doesn't seem like I should have to cycle the modem every few hours, especially since this wasn't the case before! It's the D-link 2750B. Thanks for your help,
