How to obtain static WAN IP for router

I need to connect to the router at a cottage I own in order to help the renters figure out why thet can't connect wirelessly several times a year.

What is the best way to get around the DHCP WAN IP situation (and remote URL)?
Can I get a static WAN IP from Verizon?

Is there an option within the router (VersaLink).

Do I need a Verizon domain name?

Hi ils, static WAN IPs are only given to business customers by request.

Check out dyndns.org -- you can configure the router to register a free dyndns address and use that name to subsequently locate and connect to your router when the IP address changes. The dyndns configuration can be found in your router under the advanced section "Dynamic DNS".
