When I receive e-mail with an attachement, just above the message body is a line that gives the number of attachements followed by a "Download" button. Clicking that opens a popup box asking what I want to do with it.
If you don't see that line or the "Download" button, or it isn't working, provide details on what you see and what is happening. Also, browser and OS info might be helpful. You might want to try clearing cookies and cache as a first step as that often solves a lot of problems.
