change your settings

I got a reminder that I must reset my settings and I have no clue what it is about. There is really no step by step Verizon guide and, on top of this, I have a new computer with a disastrous Windows 8 and cannot find anything in this system. It starts looking I need to find another internet provider in DC (and drop my Verizon landline, too). In addition, I have two other computers with Windows 7. Do I have to change the settings on all? And, why is Verizon directing me to this forum? Since Verizon is my internet provider, it should give me some detailed instructions, one would think...

Good question. IF you use verizon Webmail i don't think you have to change anything. Settings for Apple products, & 3rd party email applications (such as GMAIL, Zohomail, etc) do requre the changes specified in the letter.

Thanks. From what you have said, I need to do something with my i-phone to keep getting my verizon emails there, right? I am even more illiterate with the i-phone than with my home computer. I guess, I will drop the smart phone...Thanks again.
