Unable to connect to "outgoing.verizon.net" except from home network using Outlook

Hi - since switching from DSL to FiOS, have noticed that my outlook client (Outlook 2010) can connect to and receive incoming mail, but will not successfully connect to outgoing.verizon.net and so I can not send mail.

My workaround is to use verizon webmail but that is sub-optimal for me.

Help, please....

What are your settings in Outlook? What is the ISP for the other network(s) you are connecting to?

Most major ISPs block port 25 for SMTP connections that aren't their own. Try switching the port to 587 and see if that helps.
