Can someone tell me if Verizon email has the capability to recall msgs sent by mistake?
No, they do not. As far as I know, no email provider can actually recall an email message that was actually sent.
Gmail offers an "unsend" option in Labs, but it's not actually un-sending anything. What it does is makes it so that Gmail queues the message for a little while without sending it, to give you a chance to change your mind.
somegirl is correct ... once you "send" a message, the message is sent (like putting a real letter in a real mailbox)
While some enterprise systems (like Exchange) have a recall feature -- it only works on messages which remain within the same enterprise system. If you send the message to someone on a different email domain, there is no capability to recall. You can send a recall request -- which let's the recipient know you didn't mean to send the message -- but it's up to them to honor the recall and decide if they wish to read the message anyhow.
Your best bet is to simply follow-up with another message noting your error to the recipient and ask for their descretion if the topic matter was something which shouldn't have been shared with them.
