Going public with my issue after 6 attempts to resolve this privately.
After my 17 years as a Verizon Wireless customer, I enrolled in home Fios. I was given a bunch of "incentives" for selecting Verizon, and I have 2 different emails referencing that as a thank you, I would be receiving 2 gift cards, each for $200 ($400 in gift cards total). I received one gift card without an issue, but the other gift card never arrived. I have been in an endless loop with Verizon, and have a chat log where I was told in July my second $200 would be "arriving soon". Please note- there is no card, this is an EMAIL with an account number and a PIN form your fulfillment center, Hawk Marketplace. Yesterday, I did speak to a wonderful Verizon representative (Demitrius) who worked through my account on his end and saw that the second card wasn't processed but did confirm I was owed the gift card. I was then connected to Hawk Marketplace, the fulfilment arm for these cards. The Hawk representative hung up on me, so I am still left with no gift card and no timeline as to when I will receive my "replacement" card that apparently Verizon Fios never ordered on my behalf. I am really saddened to see a company I patronized without question for 17 years behave this way. If I don't receive an actionable response from Verizon, I will be forced to escalate my claim to the better business bureau, the federal trade commission and my state's attorney general's office. Based on a brief internet search of this issue, I am apparently not alone in this gift card issue. A response from Verizon is expected and appreciated. Thank you.
