Verizon Email Intercepting Faxes

Digital voice mail receveid is sent to me in an email. It appears that when someone sends an incoming fax, the voice mail intercepts the fax signal thinking it is a phone call.

How do I get my fax service back? Or, how do I turn off voice mail from being sent to my email, if that will eliminate the problem?

if you log in at www.verizon.com/fiosvoice with your username and password, there is a voicemail options section and you can increase the number of rings to 6. and that way your fax picks up with priority, and your voicemail picks up in case the phone rings upto 6 times.
