WHAT SHOULD MY LINE MODE BE FOR 7.1kbps?

Reason i ask is, my DSL at nite hrs has been going down to 0.84kbps then during the day its back up to 6.67kbps, they did change the circuit i was on today, but just hoping my line mode was also correct. i have the westell 6100G modem, on the back it does say ADSL2+ modem.

fast channel is perfect for 7.1

interleave should only be set if you're having severe issues.

Would going down to 0.74mbps at night be severe? for about a couple weeks now, verizon has been in contact with me about this issue, during the day my speeds are great, but no matter what verizon does, it dips at nite. today the tech put me on a different circuit and the tech support over the phone says I can't handle the 7.1, but the 2 techs that I had out to my house say I can handle it fine. So I guess the 3rd tier support lowered me down to Mbps, so like I told them its not the speed that is making this happen, so sure enough night comes and im under Mbps, morning time comes 7 Am or so and im back up to the rated speed they have me at. when I was at the 7.1mbps I was able to reach 6.7 thought the day.Now they have me on Mbps and its exactly at 5 the whole day till nite fall.I don't know what else they can check, not sure if my modem is messing up at night, but its pretty frustrating..

That could be considered severe if you're transmit stats drop considerably at night. so what you want to do is get a snapshot of what they are when everything is working and then again when it drops real bad.

and then post the two sets of readings and we can compare and contrast them.

If those readings don't change, they stay real close or identical then it could be a problem at the isp level, and VZ will have to look at it further.

ok thanks! these are my stats as of now..this morning they changed me back to the 7.1 and put me on a different circuit with less traffic. So im hoping this works...on the speed test right now its 6.58 mbps, ping is 26ms
