I currently have Fios with traditional POTS. I want to switch to Digital Voice . The automated system says I have to change my phone number. How come?
I didn't have to change mine. Same switch from POTS to Digital voice. But it was a bit of a bear getting it done, although the techs said it should have been easy. I have a triple-play plan though, and had nothing before that, so it was a new install. I'm in Florida, it could be different elsewhere. I would call Verizon and confirm that.
