My Internet speed is consistently slow

The only "high", and that term is loosely applied, package available here is the basic .5 - 1 Mbps and ... Wait for it the enhanced high speed 1 - 1.5 Mbps. How is that enhanced? This is an ongoing, never been resolved issue and as soon as there is another option I will grab for it and run never looking back. I have the enhanced package and I can not get any speed higher than 156 Kbps download with 20 Kbps upload. This house has 3 heavy computer users and I was told that this package would be more than enough. I will never know since they can't even get me close. Those speeds are when no one else is home and only one of the three are trying to download a file. Frustration doesn't even begin to cover how I feel

It looks like you've got an issue here where the line is pretty long. You're right past 2.5 miles of copper. With such a distance, and given those stats, you're not going to be getting much more than 1.5Mbps, sadly. You might be able to squeeze 2.1Mbps down, 600kbps up out of it, but that's about it as far as stability is concerned. Any higher and you can expect drop-outs.

It has now been 40 consecutive downloading and the application is still not finished!! I have had to dominate the access to our Internet for nearly 2 full days just to download World of Warcraft. My oldest son downloaded the exact same application and with Charter it took just over 4 hours!! What is Verizon doing differently?? Everyone I talk to that is stuck with Verizon has the same complaint slow service and unhelpful, extremely hard to understand, and occasionally just rude customer service. First, Why can't I get what I am paying for? And Second, why am I limited to the 1.5 Mbps? Why, if high speed is available, are there differences in packages available?

Could you provide your modem Transceiver Statistics to us? If you're not sure how to get this and don't have luck finding out how to get them online, just tell us what modem you use, both make and model.

user name is admin password is password . For security reasons you may be prompted to change the password and should do so ASAP . Make sure it is a secure password

Note I have no experience with this model , so it may be under a differnet tab.
