Phone keeps freezing

I have the LG Ally and several times a day my phone freezes and the screen just stays black. It wont budge no matter what button I press. I then have to take the battery out and wait a while. Is this common for this phone. It makes me crazy.

Also the other day for some strange reason my purchased ringtones stopped working. I can now only use the pre-programmed ringtones.

Hi, firstly, can you associate it with any other event? I'm seeing different causes on various complaints so it's difficult to guess; but as a start, can you run it without the sd card and see if that makes any difference?

What I recommend is doing a Master Reset.

From the main screen, touch menu tab
Touch Settings
Touch Privacy
Touch Factory Data reset
Touch Reset Phone

Warning: This will erase all data from your phone, including:

Your Google account
System and application data and settings
Downloaded Applications

It will not erase: Current System software and bundled applications; SD Card files, such as music or Photos
