Anyone have any thoughts on this?
It was nice to have pre and post game coverage on YES on DirecTV before the games. Same for NESN.
DirecTV had YES and NESN out here in LA
Thanks for the update.
My wife is sooo Angry that she cant get YES right now.
I'll cross my fingers.

If Verizon is negotiating with YES Network, I assume they would be trying to put together a national RSN (regional sports networks) sports package like Direct TV and AT&T U-Verse have. The only way I would see a benefit myself is if they came with the HD channels, too, and when you bought the major league packages (such as MLB Extra Innings) that you'd get the live HD games outside of the one HD channel that Extra Innings provides. I doubt this would happen though due to the contracts with iN Demand that verizon has now anyway...RVYankFanLA wrote:Thanks for the update. My wife is sooo Angry that she cant get YES right now.I'll cross my fingers.

You do realize that you wouldn't be able to see the live Yankees games anyway unless you purchase the separate AND CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ON FIOS MLB iN Demand Extra Innings package that is going for $169 early bird right now?
Which you can obviously get right now and start watching next week...? Just curious..
YankyDave-
Take that back! They'll do it again this year! Just too bad they aren't starting out too well...

To see out of market games, you are going to need Extra Innings. If you are talking about an increase of rates to carry YES HD, then I am sure VZ will, at some point, increase their rates to cover the additional carriage fees. It isn't like VZ (or any for profit company) is going to absorb additional costs without passing it on to their customers.
Already got the extra innings. I think I was the first or second person to sign up as it took them over 30 mins to sort it out, since I called them the day it was available.
We are looking forward to pre and post games as well as some of the other programming like Yankeeography and Center Stage.
Going to have to see if that is possible, as I looked at the guide last night and it didn't have the pregame listed, only batting practice. After batting practice the channel guide was dark for that slot.
If anyone has luck seeing the pre and post game and are out of market (like me in LA) let me know. I know on DirectTV I was able to get both of those, even though I was out of market.
Anyone in Florida getting YES? I posted this separately the other day since the original post on this was 2 months ago & I thought no one would continue to reply to it. I had FIOS installed on the 4-3 & thought YES was available especially since Brighthouse cable now has it but it wasn't in the guide. Then after the update the other day it was listed in the cahnnel guide in the morning but not in the evening but was still listed in my online guide until this morning. I just checked & it's not listed anymore. It was channel 595--I could see it in the guide but when I tuned to it there was an error message (I don't recall what it was). I'm not worried about watching the games on YES (I get MLB Extra Innings), I just want to see Yankeeography & some of the other programmin they have.
Thanks.
I don't see it posted by anyone else, YES HD showed up here in North Texas in the last day or two. I am not a Yankees fan (go Texas Rangers, 3-0 so far, at least for the next 2-3 hours), but it is always nice to get a new channel
