I called Verizon today about removing an old service line on my house to make it easier to re-side (I've lived there 10 years and haven't used a landline. Plus the house had the weird old 4-prong phone outlets, so I'd want an updated service even if/when I do add landline services). I'd mentioned that it was old enough that it said "Bell Atlantic" on it. I was told Verizon couldn't remove it and I'd have to contact Bell Atlantic, but they didn't have a contact number for them. I told them there's no such thing as Bell Atlantic, and everything online says it merged and became Verizon. But still no help.
How do I get an old service line to my house removed?
