Verizon has added the sony movie channel that is in spanish only called cine sony tv on channel 1689 where it is available for people who have the spanish package. The movies are movies that most people have seen where the audio and descriptions of the movies are in spanish. ESPN Goal line is set to come back on channel 571 on august 30 which will feature college football in HD. MundoFox is set to launch in september in the new york/new jersey area where that channel is not that big of a deal if you have seen their website where their programming consists of reality shows, soap operas and kids shows that you can find elsewhere. BeIn Sports is currently in negotiations with verizon to add their content to the fios lineup although there is no timetable as to when a deal will happen. Cartoon network Hd is scheduled to be added soon as is Me-tv although where you live will matter as to if you are going to be able to have a 24/7 Me-tv channel. Now all of this is predicated on the fact that verizon employees will not go on strike as it is expected that they will over a fight about their health care benefits and pensions among other things. Cine sony tv channel 1689 is a channel that has everything in spanish including the audio just like hbo latino but if someone were to take a look at channel 363 encore espanol it too should always have a audio in spanish but it is in english. You would think that verizon or encore would want to correct that problem. The last thing i am going to mention is that a guide data fix is coming soon. The issues have been identified and they are all on fyi television's end where they are currently fixing it with it expected to be corrected before the month is over. It has been an issue since 2005! The guide data is so bad that for people in the new jersey/new york area their abc channel 7 news at 6pm is listed as being the 6 o'clock news of baltimore maryland if they were to press info twice. That is one of the many issues that exist with the guide that will hopefully be resolved.

I am going to mark this thread as resolved after BeIn sports launched on monday like i said on here many days ago before it officially launched. As you can see i had the story about the BeIn sports channels that were going to be on the way where i even followed it up with a confimation that it was very close to being added. On that other thread which i also mentioned that pac 12 is also on the way i included that the lakers network was also on the way so that makes two of those three (lakers network, bein sports) that were added where pac 12 is next and i see verizon just announced that another major sports package is on its way which is the pac 12 network. They will not confirm it until it is up but i have known since august that it was on its way too. The next time that there is some doubt about some up and coming additions to the guide perhaps people will not greet it with such skepticism when i mention it as i have proven time and time again that my info is correct. Now i cautioned people about verizon's slow roll out history where they take a very long time to add a channel to their guide for everyone and i even created it as a topic in the share your ideas section on this website because i knew that verizon would be resorting to their classic slow as molasses roll out for everyone out there. Pittsburgh was the first to get it and for those who are curious new jersey will be the last state to get it around april 15. That topic for those who are curious that is in the share ideas sections was "when you add a channel add it for everyone" where some employee said that all customers get a channel added the same week which may be what they officially say to their customers but by now everyone knows that it takes a real long time to get a channel added for everyone. The last thing that i will mention on here is that someone needs to tell this heather person who has posted all over this website and sent out press releases to the media that verizon has not added BeIn sport espanol at channel 1598. It was added at channel 1538. The reason i mention it on here is because a lot of customers are going crazy refreshing their boxes and unplugging them while also contacting verizon in live chats or on the phone demanding to know why channel 1598 was not added to the guide when in fact if they were to take a look at their guides they may see it there at channel 1538 depending on where they live. It is a real shame that verizon can not even pass on the correct intformation to their own employees because i have had this info for a while and knew a lot sooner than those who are now confirming it.
