Migrated to AOL email and SPAM issues

Just noticed that my secondary email account spam filtering is NOT working as I have approximately 7000 spam emails in the account mixed in with normal emails (maybe 1 %).

It has been a while (over a year) that I brought up the issue of spam filtering with Verizon.

Is there a way to turn on SPAM filtering or is it not working these days.

It will take me hours now to remove all of the spam here in the secondary account.

Any suggestions or should I just abandon the use of Verizon / AOL email?

Here have CC, Yahoo, Microsoft, private email server and GMail.

I do not see SPAM in these other accounts before they get to my Outlook at home box these days.

Aol has its own, different from Verizon, spam filter and other filters. Make sure its on at mail.aol.com. And check if your personal filters migrated. Mine did not but others have said that theirs did.

san=me thing here, now getting hundreds of spam emails, I went into aol thought I filtered. This migration is very disappointing!!!!

suggestions I DO NOT WANT SPAM and disappointed that I have to spend time trying to fix something that should have been set up with the migration

Note if you are still Verizon email users you turn on the spam filter for each account and subaccount. If you are AOL the settings are under options (top right after you logon, then mail settings, "spam settings" and "Filters and Alerts") of the http://mail.aol.com . On AOL each account is totally separate, i.e. no sub accounts.

Recommend you look at AOL and see if it has places for you to complain and see its forums. Remember these forums are mostly peer to peer for Verizon Customers to help each other(residential and some business). And to date all of that have been migrated ale scheduled to be Frontier on the end of the month.

I have seen no increase in spam since the move and have found Aol's filters more flexible. But everyone may see different results.
