Yes. Unless you are a very new customer you should have received multiple emails regarding these changes, Verizon has been in the process for probably two years or more in making these changes, there is nothing new about this, I have been using the new settings for a long time. Apparently Verizon has finally reached the point where they have all the email servers updated/replaced/added with the new settings, and wants to completely discontinue the use of the old settings.
Make the change and move on.
