DSL from verizon is the worst here ever since fios started becoming avilable i have been waiting years for better service, i hope verizon does something soon be cause i am leaving and i am telling 50 friends to switch to cable internet they can't be serious about there service if they plan on keeping slow internet in these modern times.

Is FiOS available to your immediate area? Verizon is trying not to maintain DSL or upgrade the DSL infrastructure, and is opting into using FiOS as such upgrades. Often, Verizon can be negotiated with to give you a basic FiOS Internet connection with phone service for the same price as DSL Service with POTS.
