Duplicate recordings on external hard drive

Hi, I did a quick search but found nothing recent on this topic. I added an external hard drive to my 7216 lately and have noticed it, unlike the DVR itself, appears unable to distinguish duplicate recordings. I have the 1.9 IMG and my series recording is set up to not record duplicates. However, I find that my external hard drive has many episodes of the same show, on the same channel, recorded more than once. Is this a known issue? If so, is there any ETA on a fix?

I have not heard of this happening before. The drive should not have any bearing over if there are duplicates or not. Please check to see if the shows have specific show information. If it does not have actual episode information, it will not be able to know if its a duplicate or not. Please check for this information and also reboot the box by unplugging the power cord from the back. If you are still having issues, please send me a private message so we can help further.
