Receiving Verizon.net email on Windows Phone

I am all of sudden unable to receive my verizon email on my windows phone. Keeps telling me to input my password and then it tells me my password doesn't match. But I have confirmed I am using correct Id and password. Has been working without issue for 2 years!

I spoke with Verizon support and found out how to fix. Basically had to delete the existing "account" and create a new one using the new specs for incoming and outgoing mailboxed.

Could you say more about how to remove old verizon e mail account and how to add a new one?

Look at http://verizon.com/emailsettings .

Essentially they have finally dropped the old servers and are requiring you to use the new settings for reqular VERIZON email users. Similar but slightly different changes were also made for Yahoo/Verizon email users.
