Westell 7500 router not blocking sites or devices

I have a Westell 7500 modem and am trying to block devices, schedule access times, and block websites.

I have gone into the advanced settings and entered websites into website blocking. The exact website is accessed with no problem

I have blocked ip addresses only for the devices to continue to access the router.

Same problem with scheduling access.

All of these, the block is listed in the menu but it has no effect on the devices or sites.

How can I get these blocks to work?

It would be better to use your own RJ-45 WAN port router that has that feature working and then putting your modem combo into bridge mode.
