outgoing calls to 866 number

I noticed yesterday on my Verizon call log that 3 early morning outgoing calls (866) were made from my number

Google search revealed nothing on the number

I have not called the number

Anybody experience the same issue ?

Do you have an alarm? Often times the service checks in with the company.

or could be some sort of auto update on something else.

Yes on the alarm. That seems to the consensus opinion. I did call the number and it sounded like a fax machine

Dialing into a network center would sound like that. At least it did years ago when I worked in a network support center.
