Wake Up Verizon! Mega Tv Is Back! No Al jazeera?

Now i have no idea of what is going on at verizon these days but for the people who work at verizon it would behoove you to try to assist customers who have issues with the service or at the very least pass on the issues that exist with fios on to the correct people so that they can fix things the way that they should be so that customers can get what it is that they are paying for. Mega tv channel 466 in new york and new jersey which was dropped on july 31, 2011 where it was reported everywhere that verizon was going to be adding al jazeera there in its place is back on channel 466 but the guide has a message that it is "off the air" where there is no schedule at all to tape off of. That means that al jazeera will not be added on that channel but it could be at another date as verizon made a business decision that to have mega tv channel 466 a channel that is in spanish was more important. Please put up the schedule for that channel so that it does not become like a lot of your other channels that either have no schedules at all or the schedules that you have on there are old and do not match. That brings me to some other things that are wrong with the guide which verizon may not be aware of. Canal sur channel 1549 has been wrong for more than a week. The morning show on canal sur is from 6:30am-10:30am not 5:30am-9:30am which means that eveything that is on after if throughout the day is wrong too. There is also a matter of all of the shows that are on after that morning show that not only do not match because of the time that is on the schedule but the names of the shows that are on after the morning show that are all from different countries do not match either. The guide indicates that from 9:30am-11:30am (which should really be listed as 10:30am-12:30pm) that the show after that is el noticiero from venezuela when in fact it is hola pais from bolivia. The rest after that does not match until 9pm where on the weekends there are also similar issues. Channels 1582 utilisima and 1646 canal 22 mexico are playing programs that the guide indicates will be on an hour from now. 1664 ritmoson has things listed on the guide right now that already played an hour ago while channel 81 msg plus 2 has a devils game on now but the guide indicates that it is a ny islanders game. Hopefully in the future maybe you will add al jazeera because it is currently only in the washington dc area only where a lot of people who are tired of talking heads who just shout at each other on cable news shows that are all about people providing the public with their opinions rather than the news would like a news channel that is all about what is going on in the middle east that gives people an unfiltered uncensored look at the news rather than what passes for news these days.

Thank you to the people at verizon who put up the schedule for mega tv and from what i can tell it is 100% correct. There are still some issues with that channel though. The logo for mega tv channel 466 that was there is now gone so there is no logo for that channel. Another couple things that are wrong with that channel are that when you first go to that channel it pixilates where you see green/yellow/purple/orange colors before you get an image on there plus when you are watching that channel the signal that you are running is a little shaky where it seems as if the entire channel's images are all from a hand held camera. Every channel that you have to offer from what i can tell is crystal clear but with mega tv there are those issues that i just mentioned. Some more things that i have mentioned have yet to be corrected on the guide. Canal sur channel 1549 continues to have a wrong schedule plus the channel for the most part is about an hour off. Whenever canal sur claims that a certain country should have its content playing what is actually on is something else. Canal sur is a best of south american news programming channel that has programs from peru, bolivia, honduras, colombia, argentina, venezuela, uruguay and many other countries but when the schedule is incorrect as your guide is what happens then is that people who think that content from a particular country will be there it is not so they end up taping the wrong shows because of your guide being wrong.1646 from mexico, 1582 utilisima are all playing programs that the guide indicates will be on an hour from now while 1664 ritmoson and 1507 supercanal has listed on the guide right now the show that already was on an hour ago. 1509, 1548, 1781 do not have schedules at all and i know for a fact there are schedules for those channels where on 1509 right now there is a movie playing but the entire channel has a general el salvador programming message on the guide all day long. The same goes for 1548 which has a dominican view message on the guide all day long even though there are news shows and sporting events that are playing that people can not tape because the guide does not have those programs listed. The same goes for channel 1781 which has a general kuwait tv programming message all day long. There are no channels 394 and 894 but the guide still has them listed there which is a waste of guide space plus channels 258,1724,1725 are all the same channel which is the boomerang channel which is a channel that has cartoons on it. 1535 aym sports continue to list the wrong sporting events on the guide where right now what is on is basketball but what the guide has listed is volleyball and when volleyball is on basketball is listed. Same goes for baseball and soccer games where when it indicates that it should be a soccer game it is a baseball game and vice versa. The 11am monday through friday show is still not there on 1540 where a show before it is a 1 hour show not a 1 hour and 15 minute show.

Mega tv channel 466 is pixilating when you first go there plus the images that appear on there are shaky and when you tape a program on that channel when you go to watch it later as you fast foward it what you have are portions of the program that you will end up missing because it skips over a lot of the program where you do not see the images of what you have taped because of the issues with that channel. There are also problems with channel 1549 canal sur, ritmoson channel 1664, 1582 utilisima, 1646 canal 22 mexico, 1583 passiones, 1507 supercanal and channel 108 abc news now where nothing on channel 1549, 1664, 1582, 1646, 1507 ever matches. The associated press widget by the way has not been there in a long time and when it was there the stories that it had on there were all from february 21 where i brought it to your attention because it was not launching then it was brought back but the problem was that it was running old stories on there from february in march. So technically speaking customers have not had an associated press widget with updated information on it since february 21. It is currently not one of your widgets that is available to lauch or use so if it is going to come back please make it happen soon.

It is on in the state that i am in cmerejo where i am watching it live right now plus i have a whole bunch of recordings set up on that channel where they have all recorded correctly. The pixilation issue is still a problem on channel 466 where it is not up to the standards of fios tv where it feels like it is a cable feed not a fios feed where when you first go there it initially pixilates then right after that you have a shaky camera type of situation where sometimes it feels as if someone has hit the fast foward button while it was paused where it feels like it is in slow motion and when you fast foward things that have been taped on that channel it completely skips over things where you see no images at all of the things that you have taped and are trying to watch. One thing that i forgot to mention again is that the logo is missing for mega tv channel 466 so for the people who are not aware of the fact that it is back when they go through their guide looking for something to watch there is no mega tv logo. The other issues that i previously mentioned are still a problem too where canal sur has been wrong for over two weeks where i am paying for that channel as part of the spanish package along with all of the other channels that i mentioned where every other provider out there along with the channel itself canal sur has had the schedule correctly listed on their website all month long. There are so many things wrong with verizon's spanish package that i have briught to their attention that they have done nothing about that it is a waste of money to have the spanish package if verizon is not going to have the right schedules on those channels plus the dvrs are useless too when you try to set up shows on other channels that are not spanish language programs. There is a movie for example that i have been trying to set up to tape for a while now called "sin" with gary oldman that will next be on march 24, 2012 at 1:35am on channel 356 but the guide has a blank space on there every single time that i have tried to set that movie to tape rather than the actual name of the movie. Mega tv is working where i am at but the feed is something that they need to look at.
