RAI Italia HD 1080i

The RAI Italia picture is terrible. My tv settings indicate they are broadcasting in 1080i. Also the soccer games are supposedly broadcast in true HD starting this past weekend but it didn’t show as picture was still poor. What can be done to broadcast the channel in HD assuming they are doing it? Does Fios need to setup a corresponding HD channel number to 1790? Like 510 is for 10. Thank you

10000% agree with posts regarding VERY poor picture quality on Rai. Soccer games especially are unwatchable. And we pay an extra monthly service charge for this kind of service?????
