It seems like Verizon is always lagging behind....

I would rather have the phone on the Verizon network, but I can live with AT&T.....

This is going to be interesting to see unfold.
AT&T users could still get a Nexus even if Google wasn't going to sell directly on AT&T. All AT&T users need to do really is get the GSM Nexus One & unlock it. T-mobile has one. Then use it on AT&T.
AT&T recently got the Motorola Backflip. Lots of people asking questions about that phone on the AT&T forums! I think people are complaining that they want the Devour which is only on Verizon's network now.

The only problem before was that they used different frequencies for thier 3G netowrks. The T Mobile version would not support 3G on the AT&T network. It would have only worked for Voice and Edge (2G ) only. Kind of hard to sped over $500 for a smart phone that could not do 3G on a network.
Obviously the new version will support the AT&T 3G network....
Unless Verizon releases something similar to the N1 soon, this may be my new phone... I still like the Driod though ( Although I do not care for the bulk the keyboard adds )
