I was hoping to apply for the healthcare employee discount. I am a physical therapist in a hospital and work alongside nurses and respiratory therapists. Unfortunately these programs commonly overlook physical, occupational, and speech therapists. I was given a loyalty discount when I contacted Verizon about it, but all the could address about the core issue was assurances that someday Verizon will include discounts for these professions as well. No timeline. While I’m happy to have gotten a discount of any sort, I was hoping for there to be a change that makes this healthcare discount accessible to those who are also providing frontline care without an hour long chat with a Verizon representative. Is there someone I can talk with to address this and maybe see if there is a way to petition for these professions to be included in the discount program as well? Who can I talk to about this to work on including the other care providers who are equally important and involved with caring for patients as these professionals are?
