My Phone Number may have been Spoofed

Greetings!

I received a text today from an NJ number at first saying they could not talk right now, only text.

Then, that same number called me back about 10 minutes later.

The caller stated her name and that they received a call from my phone number.

I did not call this person and so I worry that my phone number is being spoofed.

I googled options to do and one mentioned alerting your provider (which is VZW for me).

Other than that, not sure on my options.

Please assist VZW.

There, are plenty of ways to stop the issues with your number being used. You, can report the text as spam, then you can also reach out to. dial 7726 on your device, and it automatically starts the process for you. *Rhonda
