International Monthly Travel Plan

Re: International Monthly Plan ($100/month plan) – with this plan if I am in a foreign country and call or receive a call from a phone number in that country, is there any charge for that call (assuming I haven’t exceeded the 250 minutes)? In 3 chats/phone calls with Verizon, I have gotten 3 different answers. I have read everything I could find on the Verizon website about this, and it is not clear to me and apparently not to the 3 Verizon agents I have communicated with, which is why I have reached out to Verizon multiple times, trying to get a definitive answer.

Similarly, with the International Monthly Plan are there any fees for incoming/outgoing texts to foreign mobile numbers in the country I am visiting in?

I wonder if anyone who has actually used this plan would have an answer. I realize there are alternatives to making phone calls but I want to know how the plan actually works.

I'm so sorry we seem to still be at a disconnect. International Travel Plans https://www.verizon.com/plans/international/international-travel/trip-planner-tool/ do not cover international calls or texts made from the US to an international number, they are strictly for travel outside the US. Our International Calling Plans are for placing international calls from the US. https://www.verizon.com/plans/international/international-calling/ Please let us know if this answers your question.

Hi, as a general rule:

You're not charged international rates to:
- receive a call from an international mobile or landline number
- call or receive calls from a U.S. mobile number roaming in an international destination
- in both cases, only airtime is incurred

Yes, this helps. But one more question. Do the global calling plans, which as you said cover calls FROM the US to other countries, also apply when one is physically present OUTSIDE the US and placing outgoing international calls?

I will be getting the international monthly travel plan for upcoming travel. I am trying to understand whether getting a global calling plan would apply to international calls I place while I am physically present OUTSIDE the US.
