Supported wifi Extender

I have a car repair location that has an office/waiting area and offices on the 2nd floor

The Verizon Cr1000a wifi/router is located in a closet on the 1st floor near the front entrance.

I need to get a good wifi signal to the car repair area for the mechanics and wanting to know what wifi extender/AP that's supported by the Verizon Cr1000a wifi/router.

If you can get Coax to the shop between the router and the extender's location, this is the extender which works with the CR1000A and is supported by Verizon: https://www.verizon.com/home/accessories/fios-extender/ . It is basically connect and go, and will work in tandem.

Many wireless extenders with Ethernet ports support "Access Point" mode, as do many consumer routers. Companies like TP-Link (Armada), Ubiquiti (UniFi), and etc also sell standalone access points. If you're able to run Ethernet between the CR1000A and where you need additional Wi-Fi coverage, using an Ethernet connection will give the best performance. I use Ubiquiti UniFi Access points at home, and they're solid.

If you don't want to run a cable or use the Fios extender, any wireless extender will work, with mixed results. Make sure to disable SON on the CR1000A, and auto channel selection if you're going to use a wireless extender in wireless repeater mode. I don't recommend this because the performance and reliability can be dodgy, and roaming won't be as seamless compared to using the Fios extender.
