MMS not sending or receiving

My MMS messages keep failing to send or come in, it's very frustrating. The fix is to call Verizon and have them restart the service. This happens ~10 times a month, it's really annoying.

I was sent a new SIM card which I was told would resolve the issue. It hasn't. Can someone please fix this issue for good? It seems like the only fix is switching from Verizon.

Is there anything I can do on my end to resolve this issue when it happens?

This issue has been present since I switched to Verizon 6 months ago. My zip code is 11385. This issue is not location-specific - it has happened in multiple places.

Experiencing the same issue:

I've been a 16-year Verizon customer. What was once a trusted provider has now put me through an infuriating and endless cycle of failed support, unresolved issues, and a complete lack of accountability.

The Issue: While traveling internationally, I disabled "Send as SMS," "MMS" to avoid international charges. Upon returning, I re-enabled these features, but now when I send group texts (the green ones), my contacts are marked as "outgoing," and I receive replies individually instead of as part of the group chat. Despite following every troubleshooting step provided, this issue has not been resolved.

The Nightmare of Support: Over the weeks, I’ve spent two full days off work, speaking to at least 10 different Tier 2 agents, including Apple support. What’s worse, this whole process has been a never-ending cycle of repeating myself and getting nowhere:

Case after case has been opened and closed without resolution. Every time I follow up, I’m told a different story—sometimes they say a case is open, other times they say it isn’t.

I’ve gone through the same set of diagnostics over 10 times, none of which have led to a solution. Despite being told the issue would be fixed, no one has followed through.

No one seems to know what’s going on. I’ve explained my problem repeatedly, only to be met with generic troubleshooting steps that I’ve already done a dozen times.

The worst part: One Tier 2 agent literally told me, “Sometimes we just can’t fix it”—as if to say, “Oh well, not our problem.” This was not only unhelpful but frankly insulting.

The complete lack of follow-through, along with inconsistent and contradictory information from support, is beyond frustrating.

What I Expect: At this point, I’m no longer interested in more troubleshooting scripts. I’ve done everything I was told, and I’ve been patient enough. What I need is real action.

A direct call from someone in a senior position who understands this issue and has the authority to escalate and resolve it.

A clear and actionable plan to fix my MMS/Group texting issue, with a real timeline.

An apology for the massive time I’ve wasted, and the utter lack of professionalism I’ve experienced.

My Loyalty Should Matter: After 16 years of being a Verizon customer, this experience has left me questioning my loyalty. I should not have to jump through endless hoops to resolve a simple issue
