I was with Verizon for years and when I closed my account in December the app told me I had zero balance.
I closed the account with customer service, I had some outstanding trade-in and rebates pending and had them apply the credit toward the final bill and I paid off the remaining balance.
I was out of the country for few months due to a family emergency.
there were no bills/letters from Verizon or a credit collection agency- I checked my credit score to find out that its reported as outstanding balance and my score dropped 200 points.
I tried calling debit collectors they don't have the option to remove them.
Please please please help me!
I was with Verizon for years and also you guys are preferred vendors for my employer.
I never was late in any payment and would love any help provided please
