Maximize MOCA Speeds and maximize WIFISpeeds through basement extender

I am trying to maximize my moca wired tv as well as maximize my Wi-Fi.

I currently have G3100 router connected to the ont both internet and coax. I now only have Fios internet without tv.

I have a moca connection to my tv on the main floor with the MAE340 which is unfortunately only providing 100 mbps speed.

I also have an E3200 Extender in my basement connected by coax, which seems to be working fine.

Question:

What do I need to do to maximize my moca connection to the tv to obtain closer to 300mbps speeds AND make sure my extender continues to be connected by coax in the basement with maximum speed.

Anyone’s help is greatly appreciated!

Regarding no lights, that is because, by default, the lights would turn off after 15 minutes, unless there is link activity change. Either to fix the lights or to know for sure what kind of WAN delivery you have, you need to enter the web GUI of the router, which I am assuming you are comfortable doing that?

Could you take a photo of all the LEDs on your ONT? Especially check the MoCA LED on the ONT.

Thanks. Please bear with me.

My ONT is in the grey Verizon box on the outside of the house and I never tried to open it.

The WAN and coax are connected directly to my router on the second floor and come directly from the ONT.

Also, my internet connection via Ethernet is connected directly to my computer next to the router on my upstairs level. I would send a picture of the back of the router but apparently I do not have permission to upload images.

My tv on the first floor is connected with a Verizon moca but only at 100 speed. My extender in the basement is connected by coax only and is connected to the router . All connections are currently working fine at the moment.

I hope this helps without trying to open the Verizon box.

If you are afraid to open the ONT cover box, then we can try to find out the information by taking a picture of the lights at the back of the router. Please block or redact all passwords and identifiable information there.

This might be a Coax quality issue or an Ethernet port issue. Is your Coax cabling RG6? Is it using good compression connections that you secure, or is it using push-on plugs? Is your Ethernet cable known to be good at delivering a 1Gbps link to other devices or the MoCA adapter?

The coax has been there for years. I can’t tell if it’s RG6. Would that reduce my speed to 100 Mbps?

The connections are all good, traditional, not push. The one Ethernet cable is brand new 1000 mbps

The other provided by Verizon with the moca adapter.

besides, the moca is flashing yellow which meets it is only providing 100Mbps
