Network extender hangs at "Connecting to Router, Please wait"

My new network extender hangs at "Connecting to Router, Please wait..."

I can't get past this step. I've tried different ports and cables to eliminate that issue. I configured a static IP in my Cisco RV325 router since DHCP doesn't seem to work, but that isn't working for the network extender either. My old network extender connected easily. Does anyone know if there is a conflict between the Cisco router and this newer network extender? I just got the network extender yesterday and am all out of ideas.

I took it to a friend's house, where I was able to connect to their router. It pulled an IP so I could log into the extender. I set it up for a static IP, took it back home, and was able to connect to my router. The family phones connect to the extender, so everything is working correctly! Thanks for throwing all your ideas out there!

Have you logged in to the extender's admin page, ensuring it is set for DHCP, maybe IPv4 only? Have you looked at the router's logs to see if there's anything that stands out in the DHCP attempts or other log messages?

Nothing in the logs.

I have the extender set up with a static IP but the router still doesn't see it.

When toggling the display window in the router, I see that the MAC shows as all zeroes. I'd think that it would display the actual assigned address.

VZW Tier 2 says that the extender "has not synced to the main network". Not sure if that makes sense.

When you log in to the extender's admin page, do you see a MAC address? The extender might need to be set to DHCP and in the router you should be able to reserve an IP for it.

I can't log into the network extender because it can't pull an IP from the router.
