We live in a very large Minneapolis suburb southwest of the city called Eden Prairie (zip = 55347). It's very populated, along with all the adjoining Minneapolis suburbs. This is not some "remote" area. Our neighborhood is very large, with lots of house's, most built in the 80's and 90's. All the house's on our block, including ours, was built in 1995. None of the neighbors have issue's using Verizon Wireless, yet when you drive down our block when you get to the foot of my driveway, service ends. If you're on a call, it drops the call. I can sometimes talk on my phone or get online service if I stay in one 4' x 4' area of my house, but if I move, calls get "spotty" and drop. I have XFINTY cable for internet and am forced to use that for internet and my home phone, however I still can't make or receive calls on my cell phone. I do have a newer phone (Samsung Fold 4, Fold 5 as of tomorrow) which has "wifi calling" but I don't like to use that because I'm on call 24/7 for my job and frequently stay in hotels 3 - 5 times a week. Many times, if I forget to turn this option off (wifi calling) and I'm in a hotel, connected to their internet, if it signs me out after a certain period of time (which many places do), say when I'm sleeping, the calls don't go through and I miss call and get in trouble with my job so I don't like to use wifi calling. Is there any solution to this "dead zone" just at my house ??? Does Verizon offer anything or have any solutions for this issue ??? I've read about "cell signal" boosters that you can install at your house like an antenna to boost cell coverage but they cost between $200.00 - $700.00, not including any kind of installation.
