I have a issue with my home phone the cordless phone keeps lighting & that you have a new voice message there are no voice messages It shows on the phone VM
I just changed at the end of July from optimum to fios

Here are a few questions to get the ball rolling...
Besides the cordless phone, are there any other phones in play? If so, do they indicate new messages?
When you go off-hook, do you hear a solid dial tone or a stuttering dial tone?
What is the make & model number of the cordless phone?
Has there been an attempt to "factory default" the telephone and reprogram it from scratch?
